Brenda is a hospitality industry veteran with nearly 30 years of experience in sales, destination management, and administration. Her hospitality career began with Hawaiian Adventure, Inc. as on-site program director and later management of both internal and external operations. To gain insight into the hotel business, she spent a year at an independent hotel overseeing the hotel return guest program and administrative duties in sales. With a growing appreciation for hotels and wanting to further her hotel industry education with a large chain, she embarked on her Sheraton career with the Sheraton Coconut Beach and Regional Incentive Sales as an administrative assistant. Not one to shy away from a challenge, Brenda was recruited as an Account Manager to open the Princeville Resort not once, but twice. The natural disaster of Hurricane Iniki taught lifelong lessons of perseverance, fortitude and teamwork as the hotel was reopened in a remarkable ten months. Over the last eight years, she has represented the four Starwood Hotels in Waikiki as Account Director for corporate meetings and incentives throughout the Eastern United States, Canada and Europe.
A graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, she is an avid spectator of all university sporting programs. She is a founding member of the Aloha Chapter of Meeting Professionals International and has served on their board and various committees.
Brenda is passionate about exceeding customer expectations and creating exceptional, inspired, and exhilarating programs and events.
