Property Overview

The Moana Surfrider’s first guests in 1901 were a group of 114 Shriners. They paid a “pricey” $1.50 per night for their sophisticated guestrooms and the Aloha Temple was born.


Shriners of the Aloha Temple today help to provide orthopedic care to children in Hawaii and throughout the Pacific at Shriners Hospitals for Children® - Honolulu, regardless of a family’s ability to pay. Shriners Hospital has provided quality care to more than 30,000 children over the past 90 years.  Your support will ensure more children can receive the care they need.
