Timeless Revitalized

The Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa is pleased to announce our $20 million Timeless Revitalized guestroom and suite product refresh completed in the Tower and Diamond Wings.  Together, 36 suites and 522 guestrooms have been rejuvenated.  The new guestroom designs are a composition of neutral colors which creates a sense ofrelaxation and frames the stunning clear blue ocean views beyond. Incorporated into this contemporary Hawaiian guestroom design are sun bleached finishes, tropical weaves and textures.

In addition, the “First Lady of Waikiki” is also pleased to announce a complete renovation of the 21st floor located in the Tower Wing and the unveiling of the “Penthouse at the Moana”.  Elevated to distinction, the three penthouse suites and seven penthouse ocean guestrooms, provide exceptional views from large lanais, luxurious baths that feature a soaking tub, separate Heavenly Shower, vanities with dual sinks and wash lets.  Attention to detail is evident throughout each penthouse guestroom and suite, all featuring soothing colors of blue and gray intended to represent the colors of the ocean throughout the day.

Design Concept

Since the Moana Hotel introduced Hawaiian hospitality to the world, our artwork collection also includes the lei.  The lei is a symbol of the culture and tradition that makes Hawai’i a special place.  We give lei as a gift of love, of Aloha.  The circle is meant to embrace the wearer of lei with the love of the gift.  The flower, the lei, the circle are all representations of the deep connection to land and place that native Hawaiians honor, and is a tradition that goes back to the original arrival of the indigenous peoples to Hawai’i.

The new guestroom designs are a composition of soft tones which sets a tone of relaxation for our guests, and frames the stunning clear blue ocean views beyond.  Sun bleached colors and finishes and tropical weaves and textures are incorporated into this contemporary Hawaiian guestroom design.  The custom guestroom carpet is a dynamic adaptation of an Art Deco palm trunk design.  The contemporary photographs in the guestrooms and suites feature a collection of indigenous Hawaiian plants.

In addition, the Diamond Deluxe Ocean category located in the Diamond Wing, will feature a special element of days gone by with two rocking chairs that look out to the shores of Waikiki Beach.  Guests booking this category can gently rock their chairs to the soothing sound of the waves as they enjoy their afternoons at the Moana.
